NOVEMBER FAVOURITES | The beauty, food and people I've been LOVING

December has come around once again and I couldn't be more excited to get home for this Christmas! These are a couple of the things I've been obsessed with in the month of November - going into Winter you can see I've cracked out the warmer clothes and highlighter...

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

(£5.99)

I am really late on the bandwagon with this product, and now that I've tried it, I can't believe it's taken me this long to give it a go! Although this is a recent purchase, I've fallen in love very quickly. I love the finish it gives any of my foundation, I've found that spritzing it lightly with some Fix+ makes it damp enough to give such a natural finish to my base - as well as being so nice and cooling under my eyes. The Beauty Blender is an all-time cult favourite amongst lots of beauty-lovers but this was a nice alternative being only £5.99 for practically the same thing! I'm definitely going to be picking up lots of these..

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm Classic

(£2.69)

An oldie but a goldie, I've had this for a while but going into Winter has had me cracking out the lip balms more than ever. I think only now have I realised that the Carmex Classic one in the tube is the perfect one for me, it honestly leaves my lips feeling so moisturised and soft. (I also like the ones in the tube the most as they allow me to apply the lip balm easily without getting my fingers sticky)

Revolution Radiant Lights Glow

(£5.00)

I also mentioned this product recently in a haul but it has quickly became one of my favourites! I love how I can use it everyday as it's very subtle. I find the finish it gives are so similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders - I'll be grabbing this powder in all the different colours soon!

Kiko Soft Focus Concealer

(£5.20)

This is a really nice option for you people who struggle with the concealers from cheaper brands that always seem to be really pink - I've found that most drugstore brands don't have yellow-toned foundation or concealer, but this is perfect.

It's a similar deal to my Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat which is five times the price! The only difference is that the Kiko one has a lot more coverage and so gives a nice highlighted look whilst also covering up dark circles. On the other hand, the YSL one is more of a highlighting pen rather than a concealer and so I use it on top of concealer, if anything the Kiko one is better for those of you with dark under-eye circles! I have them in different shades but the consistency of the two are very alike.

I've used so much of it this month considering I only got it a couple of weeks ago! You can see the swatches of the two below:

Primark Black Trainers

(£12.00)

I don't know how these trainers have lasted this long to be honest as I grabbed them on a whim in Primark about 6 months ago. They are so comfortable and easy to wear with everything! I can see them looking really nice styled with some black skinny jeans and an oversized flannel.. I'm always wearing these to university, and this month in particular, they've been my current go-to slip-on-shoe. My sister pointed out they look really similar to the Nike Roshe trainers too.

'Kilo Sale' TimeOut Shirt

Last month, me and my flatmate went along to a charity Kilo Sale in the local church. If you've never been to one, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves vintage clothing and a great bargain! Inside it looks like any other charity shop, with reams and reams of old clothes squished into the racks. The great thing about kilo sales is that instead of every item having an individual price tag, you buy things by the kilo. The one we went to was £15 a kilo which basically made out to be roughly £5 an item. They had some great things there - I saw Levi jackets and jeans, as well as faux fur coats and lots of bobble hats!

One of the things I picked up was this oversized grey shirt. This has been perfect this month when I've been lounging around the house doing work or just watching TV. It's so comfortable! I'm sure it would also look great styled with a good pair of boyfriend jeans and some boots too, but I've yet to wear this out the house... I've found a similar one from Urban Outfitters here.

'Kilo Sale' Puffa Jacket

Also from the same kilo sale was this grey-green puffa jacket. Even though it was such a bargain, this probably has to be my number one favourite thing out of everything this month - I've probably worn it most days. It is so warm and comfortable which - going into Winter - is really all I look for in a jacket. It is very oversized and probably three sizes too big for me but it is so easy to throw on and wear with everything! There's a very similar one here, I just wish my jacket had the same tartan lining!

Nation of Shopkeepers, Leeds

I thought I'd also talk about one of my favourite places this November.. At the beginning of the month, my family came up to Leeds and we had a nice lunch out at the Nation of Shopkeepers bar. It was a really cool place with such a nice atmosphere inside and the staff were so friendly and helpful even for our large group.. If you're ever in the city centre area and looking for some scrumptious diner food, I would definitely recommend. They have such a great menu - I had the chicken burger with avocado and it was delicious!

The Longest Ride, Nicholas Sparks

I haven't finished this book yet, but I'm not far off - I'm hooked! I don't usually go for romantic stories like this but it's such a nice easy read for those who do, and I can't wait to finish it so I can watch the movie. If you love the Notebook and the other Nicholas Sparks classics, then I would recommend this one definitely. The movie came out earlier this year, here's the trailer:

Poppy Rawson

A slightly different favourite - I thought I'd share some of my favourite videos. I've loved Poppy's videos this month, especially her Winter lip liners collection that you can watch here. She seems so lovely and I love her makeup looks! Warning - she's bad for your bank, she makes me want to buy everything!

Hope you've enjoyed reading about all of my November favourites, what have you been loving going into these colder months?
