MY FAVOURITE FEELINGS IN THE WORLD | Family, friends and travelling

Hank Green did a video a while back about his 15 favourite feelings, then EssieButton did it too, and  a lot of other really cool people - my favourite was HeyClaire's (watch it here) - it inspired this post. I feel this is a nice post to start off 2016 - Happy New Year!

Being at home for Christmas this year is feeling even more exciting than normal, I love being able to sit by the fire and have a bath (!!) whenever I want - something university halls sadly doesn't offer. It got me thinking about how I probably appreciate certain things a lot more now, so I wrapped up a few of them in this post and I hope you enjoy the photos and the little extra you learn about me.

1. GOING NEW PLACES

A very cliche one, but probably my favourite thing in the world - travelling. I'm thinking of doing a post solely about this soon, but not sure if I know exactly what yet. Leave me ideas down below!

Favourite places I've seen so far are the little town of Chiang Mai in Thailand, and New York is of course one of my favourite cities... Very excited to finish university and dedicate a year to visiting places I've never been! What's your favourite city in the world?

(I've always loved travelling - hence the cringy posing photos of my friends and my much younger and cooler self!)

I love seeing new places and experiencing cultures I've never touched before - if you have the money to travel the world then I am very envious as Saint Augustine once said: 'the world is a book, and those who don't travel read only one page'.

2. FINISHING A PROJECT

I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say that finishing a project feels so good and accomplishing! Whether it's finishing all your end of year exams or just finishing the book you've been reading, I'm sure I'm not alone with this one.

3. SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY

I feel I don't need to go into this too much, but since I've been at uni, it's become a lot more valuable to me. I miss my mums cooking and sitting by the fire and watching movies together! We also always have amazing holidays together - my siblings really are my best friends.

4. TRYING A NEW RECIPE - AND LOVING IT

I love cooking food even though I am a terrible chef... At uni, my diet consists mostly of pasta with limited sauce or a quick breakfast bar whilst running out the door, so when I can spend some time trying new things and preparing an actual meal for myself, it feels really great. Not only cooking for myself and my family, but also trying new things in general. (Back to travelling) I love foreign food and trying their cuisines - Indian food is my favourite.

I've been thinking about going vegetarian for a month or so to really push myself into trying some new recipes, what do you think?

6. WAKING UP AND NOT FEELING TIRED

A rare but magical moment.

Hope you guys enjoyed this slightly different post - and learned a little bit more about me too! I did knock this idea up quite quickly so understand if it wasn't everyones cup of tea. Tell me - do you like these more picture-heavy posts or prefer long ramble ones? Would be interesting to know...

What is your favourite feeling in the world?
