MY LATEST PROJECT | Volunteering Abroad

*This post is not sponsored or endorsed by Volunteer Eco Students Abroad and all opinions are my own*

Another slightly different post this week, I've decided to update you all with something rather exciting happening very very soon...

Back in October, when I was a mere freshling starting the rocky road of university, I attended a meeting run by a man called Cam who came to talk to us about a organisation called VESA (Volunteer Eco Students Abroad). He explained that they take student groups from all around the world on expeditions to volunteer in one of four countries.

They do sixteen expeditions a year to Ecuador, Fiji, South Africa and Thailand volunteering in the local communities whilst also having an amazing experience with the local culture and attractions. Me and my flatmate Talia were instantly convinced, and we signed up for the second Ecuador excursion there and then.

That was almost six months ago now, and now I'm setting off in a week! It has come around very quickly and although I'm bursting at the seams with excitement, there's still the few boring travel-insurance-related jobs I have to do before I can leave.

I fly on the 11th of June and return on the 26th, so for a trip just over two weeks we are busy almost every day and our finalised itinerary looks amazing! If you're interested in participating in one of these trips then I will leave VESA's details down below.

A student who previously went on this trip did a pretty good movie on it so I thought I'd link it below:

I plan on documenting ALL of my trip, I'll have multiple cameras with me including my GoPro so if you want to keep updated with what I'll be doing be sure to add me on Snapchat (@holly-webb) and follow me on Instagram! (@wollywebb) From volunteering in the local schools and villages to bridge jumping and hiking in the mountains, I will hopefully have an action packed after-film to show you.

I was thinking of doing a post on my packing routine and what I'm taking with me, it might be interesting... Let me know any other travel-related posts you'd like to see or Ecuador-specific ones too!

What are your travel plans for this summer?
